Merek RomanI am a chemical engineering senior at Michigan State University. I was born and raised in Glen Arbor Michigan home of the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and I love the outdoors. One of my greatest accomplishments is becoming an Eagle Scout; where I was the Senior Patrol Leader of my troop for 2 years, a lot of great memories have come Boy Scouts. I have traveled a lot whether it is backpacking in New Mexico or going to an AIChE national conference in Philadelphia. I did a study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a month and I learned a lot. At college I am active in several engineering organizations, currently I am the president of the student engineering council (SEC) and in the process of revamping the organization. I also travel with the MSU Fencing Club and have been doing it for 4 years now, its been great a lot of good people. Right now I am working for El Paso Corp. in Houston, TX, a natural gas pipeline company I work in the Measurement Services Department; we measure gas quality for a BTU count. Its great because I get to apply my chemical engineering skills.
